Inspired by our brothers in NYC, Toronto and Berlin, Wrestlefest Chicago will have a lineup of events to offer wrestlers from across the world a chance to to meet other wrestlers, show off your moves and gear, and meet like-minded people interested in all things wrestling - from submission, to freestyle, to pro and boxing.

Inspired by the legendary annual gatherings in New York and Toronto, Wrestlefest Chicago is a grassroots celebration of all things wrestling—submission, pro, freestyle, boxing, and everything in between.
Whether you're into chatting about your favorite wrestlers, watching epic matches, or hitting the mats yourself, this is the place to connect with others who share your passion.
A group of dedicated wrestlers from the local community have come together to organize a few key social meetups throughout the weekend. These events are designed to spark organic connections—giving guys a chance to meet face-to-face, talk shop, and find wrestling partners they can link up with during the fest and long after it’s over. Chicago becomes a living arena, with spontaneous sessions and friendships forming all over the city.
There’s no rigid schedule or formal structure—just a weekend of shared enthusiasm and open invitations. Most of us are guys who are drawn to wrestling, both as a sport and a vibe, and want to meet others who feel the same.
While the majority of attendees are gay and bisexual men, Wrestlefest Chicago is open to everyone. If wrestling gets your heart pumping, you’ll fit right in.

WHEN IS WRESTLEFEST CHICAGO?
Join us for the second annual Wrestlefest Chicago October 2-4, 2026! Arrive and leave when you’d like: the opening party will be the evening of October 2 and the closing party will be the afternoon of October 4.
HOW DO I CONTACT OTHER WRESTLERS AND SCHEDULE MATCHES?
Visit the MeetFighters event page using the button above to view the list of attendees. Participants are encouraged to message each other directly to set up matches. All wrestling sessions—whether one-on-one or group—are arranged privately by those attending.
WILL THERE BE SOCIAL EVENTS TO MEET OTHER WRESTLERS?
Yes! A handful of social meetups have been organized by members of the wrestling community to help spark organic connections. Details can be found in the events section.
SHOULD I WEAR MY SINGLET?
All social events are great spaces to show off your gear. Don’t have gear? That’s ok, too. Ask around where folks have found gear you like so you can have it for next year or your next match! Our social events have clothes checks available.
I'M NEW TO WRESTLING. IS THIS EVENT FOR ME?
Absolutely. Wrestlefest welcomes wrestlers of all skill levels—from total beginners to seasoned pros. It’s a great opportunity to learn, connect, and explore wrestling in a supportive, inclusive environment. Find a seasoned wrestler and ask for tips!
I'M LOCAL TO CHICAGO. HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Chicago locals, this is your moment! The gay wrestling world is coming to our city.
Join the event on MeetFighters to see who’s attending, schedule matches, and get involved in the social scene. Locals are encouraged to host matches and help build the energy.
IS WRESTLING SAFE?
Like any contact sport, wrestling carries some risk. Most matches end safely, but it’s important to communicate clearly with your opponent beforehand—set boundaries, discuss limits, and respect each other’s comfort levels.
Each participant is responsible for their own safety and conduct.
